She is italian and very talented. With a “pinch” of sweetness in her disse. Born in 1973 Iside De Cesare is originally a patry chef, but she learned to cook experiencing the best kitchens: Agata e Romeo and the at Hilton in Rome, for exemple. Then at Frasca in Castrocaro Terme where she met Romano Gordini (very talented too), now her husband.

ARTS AND CRAFTS IN THE KITCHEN, REGGIO EMILIA

Elegance and creativity: Caffè Arti e Mestieri, in the heart of  Reggio Emilia, is placed inside a historical building. Since always it has been the cradle of Reggio gastronomy. And today even more. A little more than a month ago it opened to the public with a change: the arrival of the two-star Michelin chef  Gianni D’Amato, patron of Il Rigoletto, the historical restaurant of Reggiolo.

ALICE’S VEGETABLE GARDEN. AT THE TABLE

The last trend, as far as cooking is concerned, is cooking our own vegetables from our  vegetable garden. Exactly like they do at Erba Brusca’s, on the Naviglio Pavese. Right in this restaurant, Alice Delcourt, Italian for passion, has embraced a 360 degrees green philosophy, after a great experience in many Italian restaurants.

FERRIED IN THE FLAVOURS…OF VENETO COUNTRYSIDE

The terrace of Osteria Caronte overlooks the river and it’s only a few kilometers from Dolo, heart of the Riviera del Brenta. This land was a Venetian patricians favourite holiday resort between 1500 and 1700. It is right on the banks of the Brenta Canal, ideal progression of the Canal Grande, that the famous villas overlook. Designed and frescoed by the masters of Italian arts, they characterize the landscape, in perfect harmony with architecture and nature. With its romantic and suspended atmosphere, the Riviera has kept an intact charm. Delicious flavours in this special context of water-flowing and breezy woods come out of the tavern kitchen.
